TUNER JAM CAR SHOW

Tint and Things Tuner Jam Car Show

The car show rules, classification, and judging offer a fair and unbiased competition experience. Participants also receive feedback and advice based on the knowledge of certified judges. Winners will receive the following:

  • First Place – $500 and trophy.
  • Second Place – $250 and trophy.
  • Third Place – $100 and trophy.

Entries are limited to 35 vehicles per category, which are:

  • Best Asian.
  • Best Domestic (2000 and up).
  • Best European.
  • Best Japanese Classic (Pre-2000).
  • Best Truck.
  • Best of Show ($1,000).

There are three (3) Divisions:

  • Rookie (Mild) – The Rookie Division is for vehicles with simple modifications and an enhanced factory look. This division allows the competitor to upgrade things like wheels, tires, vinyl stickers/graphics, short wings, and simple stereo upgrades.
  • Street (Semi Wild) – The Street Division is for vehicles with more modifications than a Rookie vehicle, but the vehicle is still used as a "daily driver." It provides a fair and competitive format that balances the playing field between daily-driven vehicles and those with elaborate modifications.
  • Ultimate (Wild) – The Ultimate Division is designed for vehicles with extensive performance and appearance modifications. It intends to provide a fair and competitive format focusing on driven/trailered, show, or race cars.

This is an invite-only event. Please enter Spring, Summer, and Winter events to qualify.


BEST TINT COMPETITION

Best Window Tint

One winner from each Tuner Jam Car Show category will receive a trophy, $200, plus contingency payouts from SunTek (see Sponsors below). Vehicles will be judged on the following:

  • IR Rejection (100 points) – The percentage of infrared rays blocked (1% = 1 point).
  • Installation (40 points) – 100% contamination-free installations are almost impossible. Judges inspect for dirt particles, fibers, adhesive gels, air bubbles, scratches, creases, distortion, and light gaps.
  • Product (20 points) – Is the product peeling, cracking, experiencing adhesive failure, and delamination?
  • Cleanliness (25 points) – Are the windows clean and ready for inspection?

Tuner Jam Car Show competitors are automatically entered.


SOUND QUALITY CHALLENGE

IASCA Sound Quality Challenge SQC

The Sound Quality Challenge aims to evaluate automotive sound systems in five critical areas of sound reproduction: Tone Accuracy, Sound Stage, Imaging, Linearity, and Absence of Noise. The central premise of evaluation is to Judge the system in real-world applications. Categories are the following:

  • Novice – Minor modifications to vehicle interior are allowed, but there is no connection to industry and one (1) seat judging.
  • Amateur and Advanced Amateur – A higher level of modifications to vehicle interior allowed, no connection to industry, and one (1) seat judging.
  • Pro 1, 2, and 3: A higher level of vehicle modifications is allowed. This category is open to all industry—and non-industry-related competitors whose vehicles meet the class requirements.
  • Expert – Open to all industry- and non-industry-related competitors whose vehicles meet the class requirements. One (1) seat and two (2) seat judging, IQC and SPL, is required, and the IQC and SPL score will be combined with the SQC score to achieve one total score.

First to third-place winners will receive trophies. Here's how to register:

  • General Public – Registration is $50. Click the registration button at the top or bottom of this page. Registration is free for SunTek customers. Upload a copy of your warranty card and receipt on the registration page, and you will receive a refund upon verification.
  • Business Members – Registration is free for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and creators with a .

Roll-in is at 3 p.m., and judging starts at 4 p.m. More information about the IASCA SQC Competition format will be available soon.


MUSIC SHOWCASE

Musicians and DJs

The music showcase is sponsored by Localsiknow Beats and Community Program. Participating musicians will receive the following:

  • Solo – $200 for 30 minutes
  • Duo – $400 for 30 minutes.
  • Trio – $600 for 30 minutes.
  • Band (4 members or more) – $800 for 30 minutes.
  • DJ – $800 for 4-6 hours.

Eligible musicians and DJs must have a Localsiknow web page embedded with their music on Spotify, YouTube, Mixcloud, or SoundCloud or music videos on YouTube. , click the register button at the top or bottom of this page, and log in to apply.


VENDOR MARKET

Vendors

Get a 10x10 exhibition and merchandising space. Due to exclusive sponsorship exclusivity, food and drink vendors are not eligible for this event. Consumer packaged goods are acceptable.

  • General Public – Registration is $150.
  • Business Members – Registration is free for small businesses with a Localsiknow web page. click the register button at the top or bottom of this page, and log in to purchase your vendor space.

Vendors will be screened, and approved registered participants will be contacted by e-mail. Robust business profiles, branding, displays and presentations, social media, and community engagement increase your chances of approval. Please remember that we work hard to maintain a balanced product category to prevent oversaturation, which can harm sales.

We want you if you're a team player with a great attitude and a knack for problem-solving! Come help us produce seamless regional events that everyone will talk about!

  • Project Managers – Responsibilities include securing proper permitting and venues, coordinating load‐in and load‐out, event set-up and breakdown, guest safety, provisions for crowd control, emergency services, and engagement with the staff, vendors, sponsors, security, police, and fire personnel.
  • Stage Managers – Responsibilities include booking national and local talent and coordinating performances and A/V production.
  • Production Assistants  Responsibilities include assisting project and stage managers. The rate is $200 for 8 hours.
  • Videographers – Responsibilities include documenting the Tuner Jam Car Show, Tint Competition, Sound Quality Challenge, and Music Showcase, interviewing vendors, sponsors, and winners, and creating a 5-10 minute video to tell the story. See our videos for reference.
