The Houston Area Urban League Small Business Exchange was a refreshing change of pace where over 100 entrepreneurs networked, learned about important long-term business strategies, received guidance to keep their businesses profitable, and where six competitors participated in a Community Sales Pitch for a $5,000 micro-grant.

Expert panelists and investors included Daryl King (The Principle Partnering Group), William Traylor (AT&T), Cary Yates (Wells Fargo Senior Vice President), and State Rep. Ron Reynolds, just to name a few. Supporting event partners, including the Greater Houston Black Chamber of Commerce, National Urban League, Goldman Sachs 10KSB, Wells Fargo, Port of Houston, and UPS. The $5,000 Community Sales Pitch micro-grant was awarded to Ms. Seble Woubshet, owner of Affirmative Biosolutions. The workshops were a great source of information.
