Houston, Texas, stood up with the rest of the world in the March Against Monsanto and GMOs. The march took place in 36 countries and over 250 cities. Dominick Hawkins, Jr. and Susie Hernandez organized Houston's peaceful protest. It started around 1:35 pm at the corner of Westheimer & Post Oak Blvd.
 
The march started with one large crowd, but it was fragmented into smaller groups by law enforcement as it proceeded. I thought this was to manage the traffic flow, but intended or not, it also reduced the impact of the protesters' message. The message of Houston’s March Against Monsanto is to stop the company from selling genetically engineered seeds, period, but, at the very least, to require labels on all GMO products.
