Creator platforms are not ideal for finding locally relevant content. They're making money off users' backs while convincing them to remain loyal no matter what. People, not just platforms, deserve to reap the monetary benefits of having an active community. New platforms that balance profit and purpose by putting a premium on sharing power and resources are desperately needed. By combining an all-in-one platform and a creator community, consumers can find local content, and creators can make more money publishing original content exclusively on Locals I Know than on other platforms.
I’m a technical founder with 15 years of experience in web development, videography, photography, marketing, and event production. I created over 100 videos documenting local businesses and culture. I started my first business on welfare with $100. Three years later, it was featured in the New York Daily News and generated $100K in revenue.
Vibrant local music scenes drive creative talent and economic growth, but music workers are not benefiting. The current business model IS NOT WORKING. We desperately need new business models that balance profit and purpose by prioritizing sharing power and resources. Locals I Know is proud to bring you the Tighten Up, a project to advance local music showcasing local and national talent.
That Video Mag blew it out of the park with this one! I've gotten so many phone calls with people wanting turntables fixed it's hard to keep track. Huge shout out to That Video Mag for making things happen for the little guy.

I've already been hired for multiple video projects for That Video Mag, and what I can say is it has been one of the most seamless experiences I've encountered with any client. I will continue to work with That Video Mag. It's definitely been a good experience. I am looking forward to seeing this brand grow!
My review of working with That Video Mag

I find more value in the Locals I Know platform than in more prominent networking platforms like Meetup and LinkedIn. Their focus on artists AND entrepreneurs strikes the right balance between business and entertainment. Unlike the other platforms, there aren’t just a bunch of entrepreneurs “networking” with other entrepreneurs or artists performing for other artists. Their platform feels organic and homegrown, and the diversity feels fresh.
There are many online platforms that accept customer reviews these days, and we all know that these reviews can be faked. So when you see our green tick, you have the safety of knowing that every review on Top Property has been independently investigated by us, and verified as a genuine customer.
The way we verify any review is with evidence of the contract between that business and client, like a copy of an invoice, a signed contract, a receipt of payment, or a related internal company record.
This information is supplied to us when that review is submitted, and it’s only when we are satisfied it’s legitimate, that will we publish it. This information we use as evidence is provided to us by the company which that review is about, and or by the client who paid for those products and or services.
