If you dig deeper into Houston, many underground cultures are not covered by the lamestream media. This lack of diverse coverage does Houston a disservice because it takes away from its overall character. Outsiders looking in do not get an entire perspective of the city. For one, Houston has a rich hip-hop culture, and by the looks of the hip-hop struggle, the true meaning of hip-hop lives in Houston. Joey Hernandez, aka Comp 1, organized the Hip-Hop Struggle hosted by Mike of Kaos B-Boys.
